The Lancaster Township Police Department is managed by Sergeant Michael Cornell consists of several full and part time officers.
The police officers are continuously participating in advanced training and the police vehicles contain the latest equipment to aid in law enforcement, such as video recording devices and mobile data terminals.

To obtain ANY police assistance and services (EMERGENCY AND NON-EMERGENCY) at any time, dial 911. It is not just for emergencies anymore; it is the only way to obtain the police for all types of incidents, big and small, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
In 2018, Lancaster Township Police were dispatched by the Butler County Emergency Management Center (911) to 1,714 incidents. Yearly figures are released in mid January. Lancaster Township Police also are active members of the Butler County Drug Task Force and participate in various community policing activities.

The Lancaster Township Police Department has a drug drop box in the Municipal Building lobby creating a convenient place for anyone to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs. Did you know that 8 of 10 teens who misuse prescription drugs get them from friends or relatives? KidCents and The Rite Aid Foundation are committed to supporting a safe environment for children in our communities by helping to reduce the misuse of medications by adolescents and accidental childhood poisonings. Please utilize our new drop box to dispose of prescription medications, over-the-counter medications and vitamins during regular business hours.
