Broadband Task Force

In November of 2021, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law and provided $65 billion for broadband projects.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), most commonly known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and originally in the House as the INVEST in America Act (H.R. 3684), is a United States federal statute enacted by the 117th United States Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden on November 15, 2021.

The Township anticipates applying for grant funds to address under- and un-served areas within Lancaster. To better position Lancaster to apply for future competitive grants, a Broadband Task Force has been created to obtain community input and data regarding the five “donut holes” currently in the Township.
