The health and safety of the community of Lancaster Township is a top priority as is working to minimize any undue burden on neighboring communities as we continue to monitor this evolving situation.

In response to the COVID-19 situation in Pennsylvania, Lancaster Township events, including, but not limited to regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Community Center rentals have been temporarily closed, cancelled, or otherwise postponed. The safety of all Township Officials, Employees, Residents, and other Stakeholders is a top priority.

During this time, Lancaster Township Administrative Officials can be reached 724-452-7213 or by utilizing the resources available at www.lancaster-township.com for additional contact information. Township officials will continue to monitor the situation, and additional adjustments will be communicated to local media and via the Township’s website and other available outlets. Lancaster Township officials believe taking these precautionary steps are the responsible steps a government must abide by in order to continue to promote and ensure the safety and well-being of Lancaster Township and its employees.

Following the guidance and directives of the Townships partners at the local, county, state, and federal level, Lancaster Township officials will continue to monitor for any new developments and re-evaluate the steps and actions being take.

Butler County has activated their Emergency Operations Center and are staffing a Public Inquiry Hotline for all questions and inquiries from the general public related to COVID-19, please call 724-431-0982. This number as of 3/19/2020 is staffed 8:30AM – 4:30PM.

For anyone with concerns about human service needs, i.e., food, unemployment, utilities, ANY human need, please call 2-1-1.

Community Response Team

Through generous donor support by way of industries and partners in Lancaster Township, as well as the immediate region, the Cranberry Township Community Response Team and Cranberry Township Community Chest are opening their offerings to YOUR community!

The Community Response Team is aggressively working to get life sustaining items to those families in need in YOUR community!

The Community Response Team is currently working with a pool of about 80 volunteers that will deliver or shop for the requested items on an as needed basis. Please share and encourage others to participate either as a recipient or as a volunteer.
